MFS Main Office Arrival Check-in, Visitor Information, Final Accounting

Guest check-in and final payment is made in the MFS Main Office located just west of the main parking lot. Guest and visitor information regarding lodging assignments, regional advice and information, wildlife sightings, and places to visit can be found here also.  Contact MFS Staff by calling the Main Office (541) 493-2629 with any additional inquiries about MFS services and programs.

MFS Bookshop  Books, Clothing, Sundries, Specialty items

The Malheur Field Station Bookshop carries an eclectic and excellent selection of books including reference, field guides, general natural history books, local reference materials and children's books.  It also offers educational gifts, clothing items, limited sundries and drinks.  We specialize in items that are educational and unique, including hand-crafted items and works of art which focus on the landscape and wildlife of the region and are offered exclusively through our bookshop.  Knowledgeable MFS staff are on-site to offer advice and information about  your options and selections.  A 10% discount on MFS Bookshop purchases is extended through a MFS Membership.

Natural History Museum  Local & Regional Informational Displays.

The displays of the Malheur Field Station Natural History Museum cover a range of subjects including  archaeology, astronomy, ornithology, scatology as well as displays of local insects, mammals and plants.
